Hope: Where?
Bible Reading: John 14:1-6
Friday 26 April 2024 © The Upper Room.
Recently I bought a house. There were many things that needed to be done before I could move into the house. Several rooms needed to be painted, and some rooms needed new electrical outlets. All the rooms needed curtains hung on the windows.
In verse 2 of our Bible Reading today, Jesus said, “There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a place for you.”
It is exciting to think that Jesus is preparing a place for me to live forever!
But maybe you don’t know the way to live forever with Jesus. Jesus said in verse 6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.”
The only way to God is by trusting Jesus as your Saviour and obeying Him.
I hope that you are looking forward to that great “moving day” when we will leave this earth and enter the place that God has prepared for us. —BH
John 14:3a “After I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back. Then I will take you with me, so that you can be where I am.”
PRAYER: God, thank You for making a place for me to live with You forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
