New Clothes!

When the weather starts to get warmer I think about clothes. Summer clothes! Out comes the big suitcase from under the bed, and soon I’m unpacking last summer’s wardrobe and planning new additions for the coming season. Exciting! Especially when I realise I’ll soon be setting my mostly dark-coloured winter clothes aside for all those colourful summer ones. A joy indeed!

This has brought to life for me some Bible words about clothes which show that turning our lives around to live in God’s way is like putting off one set of undesirable clothes in order to wear a whole new attractive outfit—God’s good and wise purpose for us. What a joy to set aside our old way of life and embrace a new and fulfilling life with God.

Prayer: Lord, help me to set aside my ‘old clothes’ and instead put on a whole ‘new outfit’. Amen

Fantastic! I’m so thrilled by God’s goodness that He has brought about such a wonderful way of communicating His love and Gospel to Deaf people. I’m convinced God will use it to His glory and that it will be an effective means of nurturing Deaf Christians for whom church and the Bible is often difficult. You can be assured of my prayers in asking our Father to use these means to reach Deaf people who would never dream of entering a church building. KS
