A grateful heart

My friend worked night shifts, but because of many health and family issues, he really needed a daytime job. When I told my friend to pray for help in finding another job, he said, ‘I don’t want to be a bother to God.’ My friend thought that his need was unimportant to God. Thankfully, God doesn’t view us and our needs as inconveniences! He wants  a relationship with each of us and is eager to hear from us about our concerns  and problems.

In today’s reading about the Israelites complaining and worrying about what they were going to eat, I noticed that God provided for them even though their attitudes were ungrateful. So if we go to God with a grateful attitude, how much more will he pour blessings upon us?

God cares about all of our challenges – even the seemingly trivial ones. Our Creator wants to be involved in every part of our lives. When we remember that God is bigger than our worries and concerns, we can approach him with a thankful  heart.

Prayer: Dear God, help me to bring all of my concerns to you – no matter how small. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

I am deaf with C.I. - basic BSL, want to learn more. Go to Bridgwater and Weston Super Mare signing church. Have met Gill several times. I think this is a wonderful!! My kind friend Astrid sent me this from Bristol - she has cycled round the world in 2 years - a magical feat! I found life difficult when becoming deaf and decided to make it more `visible` by making BSL jewellery. I have sold some and donate to BSL bible translation, so it is lovely to have this and I will tell my friends about it. JN
