Diligently Stresses

I am currently preparing for auditions to become a student at a school for the arts.  On top of preparing for those auditions, I have to remain diligent in my high school studies.  Over the past few months I have developed anxiety, and I am very stressed most of the time.

For some reason, I have no problem performing in front of a large audience, but I’m anxious about being judged by four people who will determine my future.  The thought of being rejected from something I have worked so hard for brings me to tears.

On a normal day I barely have time to take a breather and think about God.  When I do, I can feel divine peace and love conquering my stress and anxiety.  A good time for me to talk to God is when I’m driving to school in the morning.  I turn off the radio so I have complete silence and thank God for all of my blessings.  I don’t think about what I still have to do; I just think about how God is going to take care of me.

God knows what we need and will guide us toward our goals.  When we seek first the kingdom, God will take care of us as we face our problems.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your everlasting love.  Help us to stay faithful during stressful times.  Help us to follow your loving guidance.  Amen.
