The body of Christ

Bible Reading: Read Hebrews 10:19-25

I am part of an interdenominational Bible study. Every week over 300
women gather together to worship, discuss questions, hear a lecture
on that week’s reading, and pray. We represent every Christian
denomination in our area. It doesn’t matter if we belong to the biggest
or the smallest church; we are all seeking to know more about the Bible
and God, and to carry what we learn with us as we each go back to our
own churches.
To me, this is what the body of Christ is all about: believers coming
together to be enriched spiritually so that we can be the hands, feet,
eyes, ears and mouth of Christ in our communities. Each week when
we meet I imagine that God is smiling because we are functioning as
Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for the opportunity to be part of
your body here on earth. We pray as you taught us saying, ‘Our Father
which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy
will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily
bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is
indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from
evil. Amen
