Who is Jesus? (9)

Bible Reading: Luke 4:31-41
Saturday 26 September 2020 © The Upper Room.
In our Bible Reading today, Jesus was teaching and doing miracles. Jesus also commanded demons to come out of people.

Demons are evil spirits who help and serve the devil. They have always been enemies of Jesus, and they are His enemies today. What did these demons say when they saw Jesus?

Verse 41 tells us that the demons shouted, “You are the Son of God.” That same verse says that the demons knew Jesus was the Christ. Even though demons were Jesus’ enemies, they knew that Jesus was God’s Son. They also knew that Jesus was the chosen One. Demons know that Jesus is God’s special and chosen One to do His work.

Jesus has power over the devil and demons. Aren’t you glad that Jesus is so powerful? He is the Son of God. He is God. And He is the One to save us from our sins. You can trust and follow Jesus every day of your life. —CPE*

Psalm 147:5 “Our Master is very great. He is very powerful. There is no limit to the things he knows.”

PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are powerful. I am glad You are more powerful than demons. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
